Ms. Marvel episode 4 fans react to Horrors of India Partition, Karachi visuals, Red Dagger debuts, Farhan Akhtar’s cameo, Noor dimension explained & more

Ms. Marvel episode 4 is all about finding the truth behind Djinn, exploring the horrors of India partition with a tad of Thor and Ant-Man reference and MCU fans are all for it. This week’s episode takes Kamala (Iman Vellani) on a journey exploring her routes in Karachi as she and Muneeba (Zenobia Shroff) pay a visit to Aisha. But things take a U-turn when Najma (Nimra Bucha) and her henchmen escape the DODC supermax prison. Here’s a highlight of some of the best moments that struck a chord with viewers.

Ms. Marvel has landed in Pakistan and before she could uncover the truth behind the mysterious train – she must face a few hurdles, like the Red Daggers/fighting Kareem (Aramis Knight), dealing with spicy panipuri and figuring out eating Briyani out of a cover. Though fortunately, it also leads her to Waleed, a character played by Farhan Akhtar who helps her understand she isn’t exactly a djinn, “If Thor landed in the Himalayan Mountains, he too would be considered a djinn.”

Waleed’s response to Kamala’s alien origin and explanation of the Noor dimension has some fans on the fence if the world he’s referring to could be Attilan, the home of the Inhumans. Additionally, the mention of Clandestines and other dimensions connected to Universe-616 also rose speculations if the MCU could be introducing a new hidden world.

All in all, Ms. Marvel season 1 episode 4 is big on South Asian representation, particularly for showcasing the horrors of India Partition without hurting the sentiments of both communities. In fact, many have praised Marvel’s depiction of the Englishmen as the true culprit behind the Civil War. The Muslim cultural references, Muneeba’s mother dynamic, Kamala and Kareem’s duo parallels to comics and colorful visuals of Karachi received lot of applause though some were disappointed to find Akthar’s cameo cut short with an abrupt death. Readers can check out reactions below.

The fourth episode’s cliffhanger ending teases further exploring the horrors of partition leading to the last train that left India on August 15, 1947. Could Kamala figure out what the “trail of stars” Sana saw? Will it explain her origin? Find out when Ms. Marvel episode 5 streams next Wednesday on Disney Plus.
