Ms. Marvel episode 6 has MCU fans shaken up after hinting Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is a mutant though the bigger reveal was Brie Larson as Captain Marvel in the post-credits scene. The Carol Danvers cameo confirms Kamala’s connection to the upcoming The Marvels movie. Here’s a recap of some of the best moments from this season finale that’s got viewers excited.

Ms. Marvel season finale is quick to tie up loose ends, like reuniting Kamala with her family after Muneeba (Zenobia Shroff), Yusuf (Mohan Kapur), Aamir (Saagar Shaikh) and even Tyesha (Travina Springer) find out Kamala is Night Light. In addition, Nakia (Yasmeen Fletcher) also falls in line after hearing out Zoe’s unexpected wisdom.

X-Men ’97 animated theme confirms Ms. Marvel is Mutant

To top it all, the 47-minute final episode delivers the big bad of Ms. Marvel series – Kamran (Rish Shah) briefly goes rogue during his stint with DODC. But in all fairness, the federal department are the antagonist in Ms. Marvel ever since they stepped inside the Mosque. And Kamran was agitated by the DODC agent Sadie Deever (Alysia Reiner). Reactions, in general, are largely positive with Marvel fanatics thrilled to see the story continue in 2023’s The Marvels movie. Larson’s new suit upgrade has won fans’ approval too and Kamala’s handmade costume by Muneeba was the cherry on top of this episode’s wholesome moments. However, many were also disappointed with Marvel Studios’ creative choice that takes away Ms. Marvel’s Inhumans arc, unlike the comics. Also, the 6 episode format has also come under scrutiny. Readers can find reactions below.

The use of the X-Men ’97 soundtrack when Kamala learns about her mutation is all the confirmation fans needed. In addition, the soundtrack was also listed in the end credits. Speaking of references, episode 6 had a nod to Marvel comics in the third-act fight. Kamala saying “Embiggen” (meaning ‘Enlarge’) is pulled right out of the source material.

Ms. Marvel finale also gives a deserving end for Bruno (Matt Lintz) as he goes off to Caltech. However, some were disappointed he never got his ‘Happily ever after’ moment with Kamala rather was left heartbroken to see Kamala and Kamran. Nevertheless, with Kamran among the Red Dagger and Kamala transported off (likely where Captain Marvel was at), The Marvels movie has a lot to address when it hits theatres on July 28, 2023.
