Netflix Reveals First Look and Premiere Date For ‘The End of the F***ing World’ TV Series

UK’s acclaimed series The End of the F***ing World, also referred to as TEOTFW is coming soon on Netflix. The network released an extended trailer and revealed the premiere date for the eight-episode series.

After its success in UK, the series based on Charles S. Forsman’s graphic novel will be made available in the US through Netflix. The trailer introduces the leading characters, James and Alyssa, who take a road trip together.

James is a self-proclaimed teenage psychopath and Alyssa is a rebellious teenager and the cool new girl at the school. The two come together for a unique experience as they start off their adventure in a stolen car as they search for Alyssa’s real father. Scroll down to watch the full trailer.

During their trip, Alyssa begins to develop feelings for James but later discovers that James wants to kill her. The dark comedy series stars Alex Lawther (Imitation Game) as James and Jessica Barden (Coronation Street) as Alyssa. The series also features Steve Oram playing the role of James’ father Phil. The other characters to watch out for in the series include Gemma Whelan’s Eunice, Wummi Mosaku as Teri, Christine Bottomley as Gwen, and Navin Chowdhry as Tony.

TEOTFW World first premiered on Channel 4 and All 4 in the United Kingdom on Oct. 24, 2017. The streaming Television and movie website will launch it on Jan. 5. The show has gained immense popularity with its pilot season. However, there is no news about season 2. Fans are hopeful that the series will return for another season.
