New Ant-Man & The Wasp Concept Art Book Cover Revealed

Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Ant-Man & The Wasp which will have not one but two bug-sized superheroes. After the massive success of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios has ramped up marketing and promotions for their next superhero film.  Marvel Studios Visual Development Supervisor and Concept Artist Andy Park recently took to Twitter to share the front half cover art for Ant-Man and The Wasp’s official art book.

The cover shows Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly’s Hope Van Dyne/Wasp flying into action surrounded by the main antagonist of the film named Ghost (Hannah John Kamen) along with a bunch of flying ants. You can check out Andy’s cover art below.

Set before the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man & The Wasp will see Scott Lang once again put up his Ant-Man suit as he goes on a quest to rescue Hank Pym long-lost wife from the mysterious dimension known as the Quantum Realm. Hope van Dyne aka The Wasp will accompany Ant-Man in his journey to find her mother.

During an interview with ComicBook.com, Ant-Man & The Wasp director Peyton Reed explained what fans can expect from the movie. He also talked about the chemistry and relationship between the two lead characters, Ant-Man and Wasp.

Well, the movie is absolutely about Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, and Hope becoming Wasp, and really at the beginning of our movie their relationship has some distance in it, and their relationship is a little fractured,” Reed said. “It really is about whether these two people can come together and work together as heroes, and also as people.”

He revealed that Hope Van Dyne is not a supporting but a lead character in the upcoming film. Reed said that the story is about the both of them, and in some ways more about the Wasp. He also appreciated Evangeline’s portrayal of Wasp.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to premiere in theatres on July 6, 2018.
