As Warner Bros. and DC Films’ action-adventure film, Aquaman is inching closer to its release date, some new BTS pictures from the film’s set have popped up online.
The first picture shows director James Wan discussing a scene with actor Jason Momoa and Amber Heard, who are playing Aquaman and Mera respectively. The second picture shows Momoa and Heard filming a scene in a restaurant kind of setting which seems to be a scene that was filmed in the Sicily set. You can check out the pictures below.
Mattel’s Aquaman toy collection is now available for pre-orders with an estimated November shipping date listed. The toy line includes the DC underwater superhero with his iconic Trident and warrior action shark, King Orm, Mera, Black Manta, Murk, and Vulko.
The action-packed adventure film Aquaman spans the underwater world of the seven seas. The film, starring Jason Momoa in the title role, reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry who heads on the journey of his life to discover who he really is and what he is worthy of. He goes against his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson), who is ready to wage a war on the surface world, to take on the throne of Atlantis.
Aquaman also stars Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman as Arthur’s mom, Atlanta, Temuera Morrison as Arthur’s dad, Tom Curry, Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe as Vulko who is a counsel to the Atlantean throne, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, King of the Atlantean tribe Xebel, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as the vengeful Black Manta, and Ludi Lin as Atlantean Commando Captain Murk.
The film’s script has been written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Will Beall and is produced by Peter Safran and Rob Cowan, with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Rob Cowan, Jon Berg, Walter Hamada, and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
Aquaman opens in theaters on December 21, 2018.
