In absence of any little detail about the highly anticipatedAvengers 4 movie, Marvel fans have come up with their own theories connecting every hint and clue they get from other Marvel movies or even television shows.
A new theory put forward by a Reddit user suggests Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season five finale will play directly into Agent Phil Coulson’s return in Avengers 4. As per the theory, Coulson will have a major role to play in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, possibly helping the surviving Avengers in their fight against Thanos.
The theory mentions about the mysterious prophecy surrounding Phil Coulson that claims he would be the one who would bring the pieces together. It is expected that the purpose of Coulson’s resurrection in Avengers 4 will be to reunite Tony Stark aka Iron Man and Steve Rogers aka Captain America. Notably, the two Avengers have still not reconciled their conflict which began with the Civil War.
The Redditor claims that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season six, which has been scheduled to air in July 2019, will be connected to the events of Avengers 4 and see Coulson alive. As per the theory, it will Captain Marvel who will find Coulson in Avengers 4 and heal him with Kree technology or by some other means to keep him alive.
Fans will have to wait for the release of Avengers 4 to find out if the mysterious prophecy surrounding Agent Coulson will come true.
Actor Clark Gregg will next reprise his role as Coulson in the ’90s-set Captain Marvel. The movie is set two decades before the events of The Avengers. The film, which has already wrapped up shooting, is currently undergoing reshoots. Some pictures showing Brie Larson, who is playing Captain Marvel, sharing the Los Angeles set with Gregg have surfaced online recently.
