New International Venom Trailer Features More Symbiote Action

Sony Pictures released an all-new Venom trailer on Tuesday that offers a closer look at Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock in action as the lethal protector Venom. The international Venom trailer released alongside the domestic trailer offers a few never-seen-before alternate action sequences.

In the trailer, Brock can be seen trying hard to control his newly found violent urges. Some hardcore Venom fans seem to be happy with how the new trailer depicts Brock overpowered by the deadly alien symbiote as well as the symbiote he’ll be going up against known as Riot.

You can check out both the Venom trailers below.

The Venom film takes inspirations from both Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes comic book storylines. The story is centered on a journalist named Eddie Brock who follows people who do not want to be followed. It is while working on one of his projects that Brock gets infected with an alien symbiote that latches on to his body as a parasite and in return gives him superpowers. Riz Ahmed’s Riot is the main antagonist in the film.

Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) has directed Venom from a script penned down by Jeff Pinkner (The Dark Tower), Kelly Marcel (Fifty Shades of Grey), and Scott Rosenberg (Jumanji). Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach are producing the film along with David Householter and Stan Lee as Executive Producers.

Venom also stars Michelle Williams as Anne Weying/She-Venom, Scott Haze as Roland Treece, Jenny Slate as Dora Skirth, Riz Ahmed as Dr. Carlton Drake, Sope Aluko and Woody Harrelson.

During a recent interview with at the San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Fleischer even teased about his plans for a Venom sequel, should the film prove successful. He hinted that the post-credits scene will give some idea about what fans can expect from a sequel film if ever made.

Venom is set to arrive in theaters on Oct. 5, 2018.
