Spider-Man: Far From Home: Jake Gyllenhaal Is Suited Up As Mysterio & Films Action Scenes In Set Clips

A couple of new pictures and short video clips from the set of Marvel Studios’ upcoming film Spider-Man: Far From Home has been spotted online offering the first look at Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio. The film is currently shooting in Liberec, Czech Republic.

The video clip in question shows Gyllenhaal donning the classic, comic-accurate green Mysterio costume, purple cape, and the golden gloves. The only thing missing is the fishbowl helmet, which will likely be added in post-production. The illusionist villain Quentin Beck, also known as Mysterio, is a classic Spider-Man villain from the Marvel Comics Universe.

What appears in the clip could be an action sequence setting, possibly even the film’s climactic final battle as there’s a lot of destruction already caused. Although the video quality is not too good, we can also spot Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the video sporting a black stealth suit.

Some Spider-Man: Far From Home set pictures feature Holland, Zendaya and some other co-actors stumbling into a flock of birds on the streets of Venice. Holland can be seen trying to awkwardly ward off incoming pigeons. Well, in one of the pictures Angourie Rice’s Betty Brant can be seen walking while holding someone’s hand. While the mystery’s man identity isn’t revealed in the picture, it is most likely that he could be Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds.

You can check out all the pictures and the video clips below.

Now that a lot of Spider-Man: Far From Home set pictures have surfaced online, it is expected that Marvel and Sony will release an official peek at the film soon. If not, then we could just wait for some more leaked pictures to get a better look at Mysterio.

Directed by Jon Watts,  Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hemky Madera, Tony Revolori, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson. The film will arrive in theaters on July 5, 2019.
