New Venom TV Spot Shows Eddie Brock’s Encounter With Armed SWAT Members

As Venom is just two weeks away from its official release, Sony Pictures has rolled out new TV spots offering fans a glimpse at some new footage from the upcoming film. The TV spot shows Venom’s encounter with armed SWAT members, the alien biting off heads by taking over its human host Eddie Brock, Eddy’s motorcycle escape and much more.

You can check out the TV spot below.

The film studio has also released a short clip featuring Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and Riz Ahmed’s Dr. Carlton Drake in a heated confrontation. Tom’s character in the film is that of a reporter who is investigating about Riz’s Life Foundation that experiment on humans.

The interview between Eddie and Riz begins with a discussion on space exploration but it takes a different turn when the former brings to light some allegations toward the Life Foundation regarding deadly pharmaceutical tests. The clip concludes with Eddie being pushed away from Carlton as he asks him if he’s being threatened, and Carlton responds with an unassuming “Have a nice life!

Riz is believed to be portraying another symbiotic villain, Riot, in the film who will give a tough fight to Venom. But, it seems neither the filmmakers nor the actors are ready to offer any details about Riot.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, when Riz was asked about the possibility of Carlton Drake becoming Carnage, an evil spawn of the Venom symbiote, Ahmed gave a very vague answer.

I can confirm I’ll be acting in Venom,” Ahmed said with a laugh.

When Riz was asked if fans can expect him having a bigger role in the Marvel universe in future, he said the answer to this question completely rests with Marvel.

You’ll have to ask the guys at Marvel,” the Venom actor said.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom also stars Michelle Williams as Brock’s girlfriend Ann Weying, Jenny Slate, Woody Harrelson, Sope Aluko, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, and Scott Deckert.

Venom is set to debut in theatres on Friday, October 5, 2018. The film is expected to gross a domestic opening of $55 to $85 million.
