Next Transformers Movie Could Be Set In Ancient Rome

Transformers: The Last Knight has already lost its battle with the critics before its release with a rotten review as low as 15% (subject to change). But unlike other sci-fi movies, fans are already aware that bad reviews aren’t enough to stop the masses from experiencing the film on the big screen, possibly on IMAX.

While it’s most likely that Director Michael Bay won’t be around for a next Transformers movie, it hasn’t stopped Paramount Studios from preparing for upcoming titles under the series. Recently, we got to know more about the studio’s plan for a next Transformers movie.

A fan site called TFW 2005 shared scans of an article from Empire Magazine on Transformers Cinematic Universe. The pieces contained important scoops regarding the upcoming titles under the series.

The article reveals several details such as The Bumblebee Movie being set in the 1980s, an animated prequel film which is currently in works and more information on that story which places in Cybertron. But the most important scoop revealed where the next film would take place.

According to the article, one of the Transformers films under the series is in talks to be set in Ancient Rome. This certainly isn’t the first time the studio decided to set its film in a different era. The upcoming Transformers: The Last Knight has already revealed scenes from trailers that place in medieval times and World War II.

As exciting it sounds, currently, it’s hard to pinpoint which Transformers film could be set in Ancient Rome. Earlier, Director Bay revealed that Paramount has 14 sequel and spinoff ideas for the future. For now, Fans would have to wait it out and expect the studio to make the big reveal.
