The development of HBO’s Game of Thrones sequel, a Jon Snow spin-off featuring Kit Harington has left the internet in a commotion, particularly Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke)stans wasn’t having any of it. Still, long-time followers of George R. R. Martin’s books and the original 2011 premiered series were intrigued by the possibility of seeing characters like Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) Tormund (Kristofer Hivju), Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Jon’s pet wolf, Ghost.
GOT fans are divided over the upcoming Jon Snow sequel but it isn’t stopping them from sharing theories that could pan out in the project if it moves forward. In fact, some fanatics even have wild theories like Drogon taking Daenerys’s dead body to Volantis and having Kinvara the red priestess (Ania Bukstein) resurrect her. Readers can check out reactions below.
There is no Game of Thrones without Daenerys. There is no Jon Snow without Daenerys. There is no Drogon without Daenerys. There is no freedom without Daenerys. There is no hype without Daenerys. There is no justice without Daenerys. There is No SHOW without Daenerys! #Daenerys pic.twitter.com/1tgwoBcHLE

Ok but what is a sequel about Jon Snow gonna be about? His adventures beyond the wall with tormund and ghost? I'm sorry unless we see Drogon taking Daenerys to Volantis to get her resurrected by kinvara the red priestress I'm not interested.

I hope Hbo can afford the real star of a Jon Snow sequel pic.twitter.com/j5XI39AEIs

Why. I'm just asking why. Why a sequel to something that's not even canon. A Jon Snow character who is totally different character from his book counterpart. https://t.co/mq3kSvKNxC

the show opens on jon snow walking beyond the wall. suddenly he hears a loud noise. he sees a flash of two wings in the sky, barely has enough time to realize that this is drogon before he feels the heat. jon dies in fire and blood.
drogon came back to finish the job. the end.

If Jon Snow’s story is really going to continue, then I don’t want to see him taking any step back.
I would love to see Jon find himself on the Golden Empire of Yi Ti, exploring a whole other side of the world, a new culture, and threats. Basically a Last Samurai meets 47 Ronin. pic.twitter.com/smNLilMXyl

Sigh. The GoT final season killed my interest in seeing almost any of these characters (other than maybe Pirate Arya), but Jon Snow was a drip even when the show was good. https://t.co/gJaDmrUeh7

The ONLY WAY I could watch a Jon Snow sequel would be if he spends his days in absolute MISERY haunted by everything he did to Daenerys.
In that case yes, give me a whole season of him crying over her and killing himself at the end.— N. (@NonnyLand) June 17, 2022
If they're doing this Jon Snow spinoff they're really gonna have to explain why he let the traitor Tyrion persuade him into killing Daenerys. It needs to be revealed that Bran was manipulating him and weakened his psyche. Then Jon has to go to King's Landing and kill his brother.

I am famously not a fan of the ending of Game of Thrones, but if they make a Jon Snow show after season 8 where he’s dealing with PTSD after killing Daenerys I am so down. The Kenobi of A Song of Ice & Fire type series. https://t.co/AUgPfE05tr

The Jon Snow sequel is already worth it because of how entertained I am by all the reactions on the timeline.

Jon Snow spinoff seems weird to me. While following his adventures beyond the Wall is interesting, watching a show set up there 100% of the time does not. And making Jon leave the North seems lame.

Since the ninth and final season of Game of Thrones premiered in 2019, HBO has been hard at work behind-the-scenes with over six projects announced to be in development, seven if the Jon Snow sequel is included. But the GOT-based TV titles in the works are set in different timelines, like the House of Dragon arriving this August 21 and taking place 200 years before the Thrones events, exploring a civil war inside House Targaryen. Whereas, the character-driven live-action (as THR reported) seems to take place after Jon Snow’s banishment leads him and the wildling’s quest beyond the wall.
It’s unclear if the series will just be set within the lands extending beyond the wall. Some think the show could also explore the Golden Empire of Yi Ti, a realm from the Ice and Fire books and the place is said to have existed since the Long Night 8,000 years ago. Perhaps, Jon’s original identity, Aegon Targaryen could even play a pivotal role.
HBO is yet to officially announce the sequel GOT project and it’s understandable since the outlet reports it’s in early development.
