The Boys season 3 episode 4’s shocking supersonic death was yet another reminder Prime Video’s superhero satire franchise is nothing like Marvel and Antony Starr seems to have a vivid picture what The Seven would be like in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For starters, there would be no swear words (Somewhere, Captain America is screaming Language),
Starr has been having a blast on social media lately, interacting with fans, sharing BTS images, addressing fan queries and asking followers their thoughts on some of the disturbing sequences season 3 has had to offer so far, like Timothy’s death or Termite exploding inside his boyfriend. Recently, the actor shared a still from what looks like a BTS captured during the filming of ‘Dawn of the Seven’, with Erin Moriarty’s Starlight and A-train (Jessie T Usher) in the background. Starr shared it with the description, “Caption This”. And so did a fan, “The Boys What if…? What if the boys was like marvel.” And the Homelander star had the perfect reply. Additionally, Starr responded to a few more fan captions, one even pointing out Black Noir hiding behind Starlight. Readers can check it out below.

In Starr’s defense, Marvel has been considerate in using cuss words with a few cases of exception (Captain Marvel, Moon Knight, etc). Moreover, violence has largely been PG-13 with the recent Moon Knight series pushing the boundaries. But that could change with Deadpool 3, as even writer Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick promised the threequel won’t be ‘Disney-fied’.
The Boys season 3 episode 4 makes it clear Homelander is in control and neither of The Seven are currently capable of taking him down. But with Solider Boy free, the power dynamic could shift, especially with his laser beam that seems to knock off another supes’ powers.
The Boys 3 will return with episode 5 this Friday on Prime Video.
