The 4th of April will forever be remembered as the day Australia lost one of the best actors in the industry. It was the day Heath Ledger died due to a cardiac arrest.
Over his lifetime of career, The Australian actor was known for his performance in many movies such as Brokeback Mountain. But Ledger left the world of cinema awestruck playing as The Joker in Batman: The Dark Knight.
In his remembrance, Spike has produced a documentary titled I Am Heath Ledger. The network has also released an official trailer, giving a glimpse of his best performances. Check it out below.
The documentary features Ledger’s friends and family members talking about their moments with the actor. It also goes in-depth into his career when he played marvelous roles in movies like The Dark Knight.

I Am Heath Ledger will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival later this month on April 23rd. Later, the documentary will hit theaters on May 3rd. Spike TV will also air the documentary on May 17th at 10:00 p.m ET followed by its Digital and DVD release on May 23rd.
In 2009, Ledger was given an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for playing as The Joker in The Dark Knight. He also won a Golden Globe in the same category and the same film. The awards were accepted by his family members after his unfortunate death in 2008.
