Avengers: Infinity War earned the title of the biggest movie of all time soon after its smashing April debut this year. But according to Vision actor Paul Bettany, the threequel will soon have a new contender for that title and that will be none other than Avengers 4.
In the special Beyond the Battle: Wakanda featurette which was released as part of Avengers: Infinity War’s home release, Bettany can be heard praising the director duo Anthony and Joe Russo for their unexceptional work.
“They are extraordinary technicians,” Bettany said. “They are making the biggest movie of all time, with the biggest movie of all time right after it.”
The Russo brothers’ Marvel journey started with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and continued through Captain America: Civil War, before being handed the pair of Avengers sequels.
In an interview with MTV at the recently held San Diego Comic-Con 2018 event, the Vision actor revealed how he wasted ten long hours in reading a fake Infinity War script which was created by the Russo brothers to avoid the film’s climax plot being leaked.
Avengers: Infinity War turned out to become the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time, with a total box office collection of over $2 billion. But, the film’s cliffhanger ending has left fans waiting for the release of the next Avengers 4 film to find out the fate of their favorite superheroes.
Avengers 4 is expected to clean up the mess left behind by Thanos’ finger snap. Some of the Marvel superheroes who were absent in Infinity War including Ant-Man, Hawkeye and not to forget Captain Marvel will show up in the next installment to help Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in taking down the Mad Titan.
Avengers: Infinity War is currently available on Digital HD and will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, & DVD on August 14. The yet-to-be-titled Avengers 4 is set to debut in theaters on May 3, 2019.
