Ray Fisher Talks The Villain He Wants To Fight In Cyborg Solo Movie

Ray Fisher, in a recent interview expressed his ignorance on the status of a solo Cyborg movie and said that if it were to happen, he would want his character to fight with Phantom Limbs.

Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), and Superman (Henry Cavill), have all been introduced and they all have solo movies to their credit. DCEU’s upcoming film Justice League will pave way for three of the best superheroes and Zack Snyder’s finest creation – Cyborg (Fisher), Flash (Ezra Miller), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa). Then each one of them will go on a ‘solo adventure’!

Aquaman, to be directed by James Wan is the next in line for DC films. As for Flashpoint, it still doesn’t have a director or a release date. As far as Cyborg is concerned, there have been speculations surrounding it ever since it was announced. If the movie will go on floors, Ray Fisher knows exactly who he wants as an opponent and the main villain in Cyborg movie.

In an interview with Popcorn Talk, Ray Fisher talked about Phantom Limbs. He said:

“With this kind of story, I’d love to see it be a little bit more intimate, a little bit more specific to Cyborg. There is a sort of Cyborg special that they had done years ago where he fights a group called Phantom Limbs, which is this mercenary group of cybernetically-enhanced individuals who are very much like him. I think seeing him take on people who have similar abilities but [are] a much more finely-tuned group of warriors – seeing how that all would turn out, I think would be really special.”

It is interesting that Ray mentioned the Phantom Limbs since regular moviegoers are not very familiar with this villain. The Phantom Limbs appeared only in issues #5 and #6 of the DC Special: Cyborg that debuted in the year 2008.

The movie is expected to release in April 2020. If Warner Bros. will proceed with a Cyborg solo movie as planned, it would be interesting to see Ray Fisher fight the Phantom Limbs that he talked about.
