Riverdale Season 2 resumed its run this week and it is gradually moving towards its endgame. Meanwhile, The CW continues to drop hints about what is coming next. The network has released an official synopsis for March 28 episode teasing new mystery surrounding Cheryl and trouble for Cooper family.
Riverdale Season 2 episode 17 is titled “Chapter Thirty: The Noose Tightens.” According to the synopsis, both, the town and the school will be involved in elections. While the elections for town’s Mayor are just around the corner, the school students prepare for student council election. Fans can expect to see a lot of political power play between the adults and the kids of Riverdale.
At the same time, Jughead continues with his investigation against Hiram. When Archie figures out that his girlfriend’s father’s mobster associates are back in town and are expected to create some chaos, he initiates to help prevent the problem.
“Chapter Thirty: The Noose Tightens” is expected to shed light on the murder mystery surrounding Cooper family. As per the plot details, things might get dangerous for Alice, Betty and Chic as an unexpected visitor comes knocking on their door. Also, Toni, Veronica and Josie come together to find answers to the questions related to Cheryl.
“UNWELCOMED GUESTS – Just as the town’s mayoral race gets underway, RIVERDALE High’s own student council election heats up. Archie (KJ Apa) steps up to help after learning that Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) mobster associates have come to RIVERDALE to stir up some trouble. Meanwhile, things take a dangerous turn for Alice (Madchen Amick), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Chic (guest star Hart Denton) when an UNEXPECTED guest shows up at the Cooper residence. Finally, Toni (guest star Vanessa Morgan), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Josie (Ashleigh Murray) team up to solve a strange mystery involving Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch),” reads the official synopsis for Episode 17 “Chapter Thirty: The Noose Tightens.”
Currently, fans are awaiting the upcoming release of episode 15 which is scheduled for March 14th. The promo teases Jughead making an important discovery related to Hiram.
