Riverdale Season 2 finale airs next week. The CW has released a promo video teasing an intense episode 22 titled “Chapter Thirty-Five: Brave New World.”
Based on the trailer, the finale segment is expected to open from where the penultimate left off. In tonight’s episode, the Black Hood was finally unmasked. Betty Cooper’s father Hal Cooper was revealed to be responsible for all the murders in the town.
Meanwhile, the episode ended on a major cliffhanger. After a brutal fight with the Ghoulies, Jughead is left to die. He was beaten pretty badly and his fate remains unclear. He is one of the core four members of the Riverdale gang and narrator of the story, hence he is possibly not going to be dead so soon. However, there are a few theories suggesting he will not make out of the Riverdale Season 2 alive with so many enemies lurking around.
The promo for Riverdale Season 2 finale suggests Jughead might be dead. It opens with Betty, Veronica and Archie at a grave possibly of Jughead. Meanwhile, Betty comes face to face with her father, aka, The Black Hood. Cheryl officially becomes the member of Serpents group and she looks pretty thrilled while wearing the red leather jacket.
In the clip, Veronica talks about revealing Hiram’s secrets. And Archie is determined to “make his bones,” but who will it be, remains unclear.
In addition, we know it’s the Election Day and things are definitely going to be twisty. Archie steps up to support his father’s mayoral campaign. Veronica discovers Hiram’s latest plan. Meanwhile, FP surprises Jughead and other Serpents with an unexpected announcement. A mention of Jughead in the synopsis gives hope to fans that Jughead will survive. And Betty comes face to face with her darkest fears.
“With Fred (Luke Perry) trailing in the polls, Archie (KJ Apa) steps in to lend a hand in his dad’s mayoral campaign.
