Riverdale Season 3 Premiere: Showrunner Shares Script Cover Photo, Reveals Title

Riverdale Season 3 premieres this fall and thanks to showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa we have learned several details including the premiere episode’s title which is “Chapter Thirty-Six: Labor Day. The show creator dropped new details from the upcoming season of the series on his official Twitter account.

Yesterday, Riverdale showrunner shared a photo of the premiere script teasing the title and more for the series based on Archie comics. The post does not only reveal the title of Riverdale Season 3 episode 1, but also a comic illustration suggesting what is coming next. It shows Archie taking a stand in the court for the trial of a murder he has not commit.

And so Season 3 of #Riverdale begins,” Aguirre-Sacasa wrote on Twitter. “Thrilled & honored to get to tell more stories w/this incredible cast & crew!

Here is a gripping courtroom drama… involving Archie’s honor… and a startling denouement that will fascinate you!” reads the caption of the illustration.

Fans will remember that Riverdale Season 2 finale ended with Archie being arrested for a murder of one of the intruders from the lake house. He is clearly being framed by Hiram Lodge, who also happens to be his girlfriend’s father and a mobster, for standing against him. All of this happened right after Archie was announced the elected student body president of Riverdale High.

In addition, F.P. retired from the Serpents and named Jughead their new leader. Meanwhile, Cheryl and Betty become the newest members of the gang. Veronica discovers the sinister secret of her father, who has found new allies in Penelope, Claudius, Sheriff Minetta and Penny. And Hermione becomes the new mayor of the town.

Meanwhile, we know new characters will be introduced in Riverdale Season 3. A memorable character from the comic series “Little Archie” Evelyn Evernever will be joining the show as a major recurring guest star.

Riverdale Season 3 starring KJ Apa as Archie, Lili Reinhart as Betty, Camila Mendes as Veronica, Cole Sprouse as Jughead, Marisol Nichols as Hermione, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom and others premiere Oct. 10 on The CW. Be sure to keep visiting Pursue News for more updates and information.
