Rocket & Mantis Try To Wake Thor in New ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Photo

An all-new photo from Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Avengers: Infinity War shows Rocket and Mantis trying to wake the unconscious Thor using her powers.

Avengers: Infinity War is undoubtedly the most-anticipated film of 2018. The first trailer of the film was greeted with insane fanfare. Thor was missing from the main action in the first trailer. Further, the Guardians of the Galaxy made a very brief appearance at the end in the short teaser.

Avengers 3 movie is expected to bring all Marvel heroes together on the big screen for the first time, and this also includes the Guardians of the Galaxy meeting and interacting with some of the other heroes.

The new image released by USA today, features the bloodied God of Thunder lying on his back in what seems to be a spacecraft. Rocket is seen sitting beside him trying hard to notice any movement in the hero’s body, while Mantis is standing by his head using her gifted powers on Thor to bring him back to consciousness.

While this image is our first look at an Avenger and the Guardians together, the audiences at D23 and Comic-Con have already been treated to the scene.

The new ruler of Asgard and his people come face to face with Thanos’ ship at the end of Ragnarok. It is possible that they separate after meeting up with Thanos and his Black order. Thor, who will meet the Guardians four years after the events in the most recently released Thor: Ragnarok will be in a bad shape when he arrives.

Recently, Karen Gillan, who plays Thanos’ adopted daughter Nebula in the film had discussed her absence in the first trailer of Avengers: Infinity War. From her talks, it seemed like she might appear in the full trailer of the movie. It is hence possible that fans will get to see more footage of the Guardians in the full trailer.

Avengers: Infinity War, directed by brothers Anthony & Joe Russo, will release on May 4, 2018.

Take a look at the all new picture featuring Thanos, Rocket and Mantis.
