Ryan Potter, Big Hero 6 star will be cast as a lead, essaying the role of the Beast Boy (Garfield “Gar” Logan) in DC’s live-action Titans TV series, to be premiered next year. The show will be aired on DC’s upcoming streaming service.
Ryan Potter would have liked it better if he could be the new Robin in Ben Affleck’s solo Batman film. Last year, Potter made a video that comprised of him performing very difficult stunts as Tim Drake’s Robin, hoping to win Affleck’s attention to cast him in DCEU’s standalone Batman movie. Though the role of the Wonder Boy is yet to be filled, Ryan Potter gets to join the DC family with Titans, which is something he has wanted for a while.
This is an extremely good opportunity for Ryan Potter as he might just land with better and even more challenging roles in the time to come.
Ryan Potter will be essaying the role of Garfield “Gar” Logan. Gar contracted a lethal skin disease named Sakutia as a child while he was on an expedition in Africa with his geneticist parents. Even though he recovered, he developed strange side effects. Apart from his skin and hair turning green permanently, The Beast Boy can change shape – he can reshape himself into any animal that he imagines.
Titans star cast includes Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Kelly as Hawk and Dove, Alan Ritchson as Minka, Lindsey Gort as Detective Amy Rohrbach, and Teagan Croft as Raven. Titans will be the first show on DC’s digital streaming service. There is also a likelihood of developing a Hawk and Dove spinoff later since both Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly will be part of the first Titans series as the superhero duo.
Titans, a 13-episode series, will narrate the story of a group of young superheroes from DC Universe. The show will be aired in DC’s upcoming new streaming service along with Young Justice season 3.
Titans series is written by Geoff Johns (DC creative chief officer), Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery), and Greg Berlanti of Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, and Supergirl among others.
