Actor Samuel L. Jackson who is popular as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Nick Fury, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is quite keen to appear alongside Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther on-screen.
Jackson’s Nick Fury has made eight appearances in Marvel Studios movies so far including his cameo in the post-credits scene for Avengers: Infinity War in which he falls victim to Thanos snap. He will be seen playing a crucial role in Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel film as well.
Jackson always had a strong desire to appear in 2018 released Black Panther, but, unfortunately, he didn’t get the opportunity to meet the fan-favorite black superhero on screen. However, he is still confident that the crossover will happen pretty soon.
During a recent interview with ET Online, the actor said his character Fury could have made an appearance in Black Panther may be during the casino sequence when King T’Challa encounters a few familiar faces from Marvel’s cinematic universe including Martin Freeman’s Everett K. Ross and Andy Serkis’ Ulysses Klaue.
“He should’ve been there,” Samuel L. Jackson told ET’s, Kevin Frazier. “He should have been somewhere — maybe in that casino in Korea when all of that stuff jumped off.”
The actor revealed that when he pitched the same idea to Marvel, he received a response teasing that something else is definitely in the works.
“It was just like, ‘Ehh, Nah. We’re good. Nick Fury and Black Panther will meet somewhere. But not there.'”
Notably, both Black Panther and Nick Fury got disappeared into dust at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. There are plenty of theories making rounds suggesting that all the characters that fall prey to Thanos devastating act could presumably be alive in a new universe and that they are likely to come back the dead in Avengers 4.
If this really happens then there are possibilities that a small reunion scene between Nick Fury and Black Panther might be shown in the much awaited Avengers 4, which premieres in theatres next year.
