Daredevil fans have finally been graced with an official confirmation of Charlie Cox’s return as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. Since news hit the Internet, Marvel fans have been buzzing with excitement over the success of the Save Daredevil movement on social media
The rumor of the year was confirmed by Marvel Cinematic Universe’s chief Kevin Feige during the ongoing press tour for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Although Feige confirmed Cox’s reprisal of Matt Murdock, he avoided elaborating exactly when the Marvel character would appear in MCU.
“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil,” Feige told CinemaBlend Sunday. “Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen.”
Saying reactions among fans are wild would be an understatement. The #SaveDaredevil is already trending on Twitter with many hoping for a revival of the 2015 Netflix show. Readers can check some of the reactions below.

Some fans including entertainment journalists were caught off guard to hear Feige outright confirm Cox’s return.
I’m not surprised Charlie Cox is back as Daredevil but I am very surprised Kevin Feige said anything about Charlie Cox returning as Daredevil and that it is out there now.

I want to thank Kevin Feige, Sarah Finn, and everyone else at Marvel Studios for listening to the fans. And I’m especially grateful for Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Not only did they do an excellent job bringing Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk to life… pic.twitter.com/ApenG1todL

The timing to officially confirm Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is back is quite convenient with No Way Home just around the corner. Nice one Kevin Feige pic.twitter.com/H0aW1HPism

Others were hoping the MCU chief could go further and confirm Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher and Mike Colter‘s Luke Cage return as well.
Now don't stop Kevin Feige, announce that Mike Colter is returning as Luke Cage

Warning: Article below may contain potential spoilers to Spider-Man: No Way Home
Daredevil’s return has been of knowledge among many fans since several insiders on social media indicated the character’s involvement in over 4 MCU projects. Moreover, it was also stated in another report that Cox would appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home’s post-credits scene as Matt Murdock.
Insiders also claim the Daredevil being introduced in MCU reportedly won’t be the same character fans saw in the acclaimed Netflix series. Meanwhile, it’s looking increasingly likely Vincent D’Onofrio could also return as Kingpin. The upcoming Hawkeye episode 4 is rumored to address the big bad’s return.
It will be interesting to see which other Daredevil characters could appear in MCU Phase 4 titles. Star Deborah Ann Woll also expressed her interest to reprise the role and explore Karen Page’s future among other A-list Marvel characters. Speaking at an MCM Londen panel, The actress spoke in detail on what she could hope to unravel if she gets another crack at Karen Page (via DriftyFilm):
“When I think of Karen, I think of scrappy, unapologetic, gonna get the story, gonna get the truth. I like the idea that if we have more [Wilson] Fisks, more of these sort of big tyrants that she can look into, because Daredevil could use his fist but Karen gets to use her pen. I would love to see that kind of strengthen and continue in that direction. Karen could work for the Avengers and stuff. I go out and get information and bring it back. I could be an investigator for hire for SHIELD going undercover. Things like that.”
All theories surrounding the above-mentioned characters could be answered when Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17. Fans in India will get to experience it a day earlier on December 16.
