It’s official SDCC week and studios have already packed the arena with life-size statues for upcoming line-ups like Blue Beetle, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and The Marvels to name a few. SDCC Day 1 kicks off with the preview night for Adult Swim, WBTV and Funkoville showcasing their exclusive new merchandise, here’s a recap of everything attendees spotted on Wednesday night, including the pleasing promos for fan-favorites shows namely The Walking Dead, The Wheel of Time season 2 and much more.
San Diego Comic-Con 2023 has officially commenced and although the SAG & WGA strike has barred actors and writers from participating in the event – comic book writers like Tom Taylor, Tom King and veterans like Todd MacFarlane and Jim Lee will be at the event for signings.
In terms of goodies, attendees shared exclusive SDCC posters for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Dark House Comics booth offering Stranger Things-themed bags and much more. Meanwhile, Nickelodeon has a bigger presence at this year’s con thanks to TMNT Mutant Mayhem. The Teen Mutant Ninja Turtle were all over the show floor sharing the space with other blockbuster franchises like One Piece.
The booths featuring life-size statues like Star Wars: Ahsoka seems to attract more eyes. Similarly for Blue Beetle, Aquaman 2, Carol Danvers’s new suit in The Marvels and the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3‘s characters on display.

The Hall-H arena will be seeing a new cinema industry set foot to promote their anticipated sci-fi feature, Project K from India’s Tollywood – the same industry that produced RRR. A group of cosplayers representing Project K were spotted roaming on the Hall-H floor in black armor much similar to G.I. Joe’s Snake Eyes.
While Marvel Studios & DC Studios backed out of a Hall-H presentation – the huge arena will still see other anticipated projects like first looks at The Walking Dead Universe spin-offs Rick & Michonne, The Walking Dead: Dead City, Daryl Dixon. A panel for TMNT Mutant Mayhem is expected to take place too with a preview of never-before-seen footage.
