One of Marvel Studios’ much-anticipated series for MCU’s Phase Four, Secret Invasion, has been actively filming outdoors over the weekend in Leeds, England. The extensive production offered paparaazis the right opportunity to capture shots of the Marvel film’s stars Samuel L. Jackson‘s Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders‘ Maria Hill and Emilia Clarke.
Nick Fury seems older with a rugged bearded look in the below clips. While set stills and videos are vague to break down what scene could be under filming, some glimpses showed Smulders with a bloodied nose make-up so it could be an action sequence. However, Clarke’s role still remains a mystery.
Other clips show hundreds of Marvel fans gathered near the production area to see the stars. But the film crew has managed to keep spoilers at bay. Readers can check out the behind-the-scenes clips below.

Mendelsohn on the other hand is shown in his human identity resembling former SHIELD director Keller introduced in Captain Marvel. Furthermore, the actor doesn’t have any CGI tracking markers on him. Possibly VFX work are scheduled for later, though it must be noted that Skrulls (Aliens) look was made with silicone prosthetics and the same method could be applied for Secret Invasion as well.
Secret Invasion was part of the Disney Plus Day 2021 announcement and even offered the first look at Nick Fury sans the eyepatch. Yet it does not have a fixed release date yet. The series also stars Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Carmen Ejogo, Christopher McDonald, and Killian Scott.
Secret Invasion is expected to release sometime in 2023 on Disney Plus.
