The progress of DC Extended Universe’s superhero movie Shazam! is going steady as the filming work continues in Toronto. Actor Lou Lou Safran has revealed the first look of a potential shot from the film. Safran recently shared some pictures from the Shazam! set on Instagram.
The first picture has been taken from behind the monitor on the set which gives the first look at a potential shot from the film. In the second picture, Safran is posing with writer Henry Gayden and photographer Eric Blackmon. Safran is not listed as an official cast member of the film, but, she has previously worked with Shazam! director David F. Sandberg in The Conjuring spinoff movie, Annabelle: Creation.
It is to be noted that Shazam! is being produced by Peter Safran. So, it might be the case that the young actress is not filming, but just visiting the set with her family. You can take a look at the pictures below.
Shazam! is all about the story of a teenage boy named Billy Batson who gets transformed into a fully grown superhero whenever he says the word Shazam. The lead star cast of the film includes Asher Angel playing young Billy Batson, Zachary Levi playing Shazam, and Mark Strong playing Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
In the movie, Shazam will battle against Doctor Sivana who is a notorious mastermind who wants to harness the wizard’s magical powers to fulfill his wicked purposes. It is expected that at least one of DC’s popular characters either Superman or Wonder Woman might show up for a cameo appearance in the film.
Recently, director David F. Sandberg also revealed that Warner Bros. has decided on a date to unveil the Shazam! suit. According to him, the costume will resemble the one created for the character in DC animated universe.
Shazam! will land in theaters on April 5, 2019.
