Shazam! To Begin Additional Photography In November, Fans Believe It Could For Superman’s Cameo

After wrapping up shoots, it is common for big-budget films to resort to additional filming to add extra some scenes or elements to the film. Well, same is the case with Warner Bros. and DC Films’ upcoming light-hearted superhero film, Shazam!.

According to Production Weekly’s recent Instagram post, Shazam! will go through three weeks of additional filming in Toronto starting next month.

SHAZAM! returns to Toronto for an additional three weeks of photography beginning November 1st – 18th,” Production Weekly’s tweet reads. You can check out the post below.

There have been a  few tweets from insiders hinting that Henry Cavill might be back to do a cameo in Shazam!. Now, the news of the DC film entering additional photography has gotten fans hopeful that it could be to include Superman’s appearance in the movie.

The first Shazam! trailer widely opened to a positive response from the audiences. The only thing that came into question was the superhero’s costume. Some fans weren’t happy with how the suit looked on screen. Recent reports suggest the suit has undergone a lot of changes since its first trailer debut and the changes will show up in the second trailer. So, fans can likely expect the second trailer to feature Zachary Levi’s superhero donning a new and improved version of the suit.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, when Levi was asked if he wishes to join the ranks of the Justice League as Shazam, he said he’s “one hundred percent” looking forward to the possibility.

Levi recalled how he envisioned himself posing alongside DC Comics’ superheroes Superman and Batman on Justice League posters when he first visited the Warner Bros. office to test for the role of the adult super-powered alter ego of teenager Billy Batson (Asher Angel).

I’m looking at these posters going, ‘If this all goes well, and I get this job, and we go make this movie, and it does well, and this does well then I’ll be, theoretically, I’ll be on that next billboard with all those characters,’” Levi said. “So I haven’t just been thinking about it since I’ve been the character, I’ve been thinking about well before I got the job!

Fans will get to see the newest DC superhero in action when Shazam! releases in theatres on April 5, 2019.
