Shazam! is the newest DC comic book superhero who is getting a big screen debut. The cast and crew members of the film have once again assembled in Toronto for the reshoots which is expected to span for over a month.
Actor Zachary Levi, who plays superhero Shazam! in the upcoming film, is pretty active on social media and keeps on interacting with fans and updating them about what’s happening with the film. He recently took to Instagram to share on-set pictures of his co-stars Jack Dylan Grazer and Asher Angel.
Asher is playing the role of a teenager named Billy Batson, who eventually gets the powers to get transformed into a full-grown superhero when he utters the magic word, “Shazam!.” Grazer is playing the role of his best friend Freddy Freeman who is his secret keeper.
In the pictures, Grazer can be seen getting his makeup done for the reshoots, while Angel is seen busy using his mobile.

Earlier this month, Levi also shared a picture of himself getting his hair touched up for the reshoots. His natural color is brown, but his superhero role requires him to get his hair colored black for the comic book accurate look.
During a recent interview with CBR, Levi opened up about what the film is all about.
“Shazam is the kind of classic – it’s almost Grecian almost in that you’re a normal person who says a word it’s a magic word and all of a sudden now you are imbued with magical superpowers,” Levi said.
He explained how the film fulfills a wish that every child dreams of in his/her childhood.
“This premise is kind of almost the most iconic of all wish fulfillment premises,” the Shazam! actor said. “And yet, for whatever reason, only now is this movie being made. But haven’t we all sat around as children wishing we had the ability to just magically transform into our super self? …Some days I wake up and I’m still hoping that my genetics are mutating and I’ll be able to – I was a big X-Men fan. X-Factor, X-Force, X-Everything! And that’s one of the things we love about that franchise, is that is that it just kinda happens. You were normal, and then you mutated.?”
Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! will hit theaters on April 5, 2019.
