Snyderverse fandom responds to Warner Bros. execs reportedly regretting Zack Snyder’s Justice League release

Since the day Warner Bros. released Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the director’s loyal fanbase has campaigned to see his 5 movie arc fleshed out, dubbed as Snyderverse. With David Zaslav mending WBD’s approach with DC Films, there’s lately been more hope towards seeing Zack’s vision fulfilled. However, the studio seems to regrets greenlighting the Snyder cut, or at least some of its executives do, since the move helped the fandom establish itself firmly and eventually criticize every leadership decision henceforth, though the vocal community on social media has a counterargument.

The new heads of Warner Bros. Pictures Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy have been putting off fire on all fronts since axing Batgirl. In fact, the two CEOs are even attempting to patch up the studios’ working relationship with Leslie Grace and directors Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, conceivably by offering a new project. Nonetheless, it’s not the only worry for De Luca and Abdy and perhaps even for the new TBA DC film head. The studio still faces the aftermath of Zack Snyder’s Justice League and may continue to do so unless Snyder fans are quenched.

In a recent piece from Variety, it’s highlighted that “studio insiders have lamented that Zack Snyder’s Justice League never should’ve happened.” Some hoped to see the growing online campaign snuffed out. But Snyderverse fanatics have hit back at that statement insisting it was the release of “Josstice League” overseen by Joss Whedon that resulted in the divisions of DC fanbase. Readers can check out reactions below.

The Snyderverse community has been quite vocal lately and has made headlines after Dan Lin’s comment. Nonetheless, there has been growing speculation that DCEU’s trinity, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman could be salvaged with Snyder’s imprint as WBD moves forward with its reset plan. Some insiders have indicated it will eventually reboot the entire timeline to set up a new universe though with constant changes in strategies, it’s unclear what the new leaders have planned.

For now, Ben Affleck’s newly filmed Batman cameo for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom could signal some hope for Snyder stans. Moreover, Henry Cavill may also pop up as the Man of Steel in Black Adam. So stay tuned for regular updates on Warner Bros. Discovery’s overhaul impact on DC Extended Universe.
