Zack Snyder’s Justice League and the Snyderverse fanbase have been hit with claims that the DC film director’s cut campaign was strengthened with bots rather than authentic users. A report from Rolling Stone which has largely been called out as a “hit-piece” by fans was criticized by Cyborg actor Ray Fisher as well.
It’s another day for Snyderverse fans defending their movement to see Zack Snyder’s DC Universe vision come to life in DCEU, which by itself is struggling due to controversies like Ezra Miller’s impacting The Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom suffering Amber Heard’s trial. Though the new leadership at Warner Bros. Discovery is yet to fully address their plans for IPs like the DC Comics-based features – the above-mentioned article stating an army of bots reportedly helped the Snyder cut’s release has put the studio in the crossfire, especially since RS’s report says it was a WarnerMedia commissioned study that resulted in the findings. This comes amid the ongoing bolstering for Zack Snyder’s Justice League digital release on HBO Max.
Waves of Snyder fans have since hit back against bot claims as some even shared their recent digital purchases of Zack Snyder’s Justice League from HBO Max. Furthermore, Fisher even called out RS’s story that “it fails to overshadow digital release” the director’s cut. Readers can check it out below.
So they can write hit pieces about Zack and Ray and expect to not get any response? They put themselves here

This doesn’t change the fact that the Snyder Cut was vastly superior to the original Justice League film in every way and that WB should’ve never allowed Joss Whedon to essentially craft a Marvel movie out of Zack Snyder’s vision.
Also I am not a bot. https://t.co/InfLq0qlfY

That Rolling Stones hit piece is too funny! They called Zack Snyder (the nicest man in Hollywood, guy who takes time out of his day to talk to his fans almost daily, invited some to his house recently, loved by cast and crew alike) “like a Lex Luthor wreaking havoc.” 😭😭

You hate Zack Snyder and his vision of the DCEU so much, you're willing to tell the world that bot farms fooled you into giving him $70 million to finish #ZackSnydersJusticeLeague & make you look like even bigger dumbasses after you lost money on Joss Whedon's JUSTICE LEAGUE? pic.twitter.com/VU0J5bY24K

Rolling Stone made a whole damn article about 13% Snyder Cut bot accounts but they themselves got 24% fake followers LOL pic.twitter.com/dogjBPWKQW

Earlier in May, The Wrap also reported that Zack Snyder’s Justice League and Army of the Dead‘s Oscars Fan Favorite and Cheer moment category wins were both rigged with Twitter bots.
Warner Bros. films currently have no plans to explore Snyderverse though the universe still seems prevalent in the upcoming Batgirl. The studio is expectedly to unveil its 2022 slate at SDCC Hall-H showcasing Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The timing of Zack Snyder’s Justice League digitally arriving on HBO Max during San Diego Comic-Con week has some fans putting on their tinfoil hat in hopes of a potential announcement though insiders suggest otherwise.
