Social Media Cannot Stop Buzzing About ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ – Check Out Twitter Reactions

Social media is abuzz with fan reactions and praises ever since the world premiere of Disney/Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 9.

Ever since Star Wars: The Last Jedi world premiere was held last week (they dedicated it to the late Carrie Fisher), The film has generated 368,000 new conversations, thereby taking its total to 4.75 million. Early tracking reveals an opening weekend of approximately $200 million range at the domestic box office. This would make The Last Jedi the fourth largest after Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World and The Avengers.

Directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi continues from where 2015 release Star Wars: The Force Awakens left off.

No other movie has garnered so much interest on social media. Fox’s Maze Runner: The Death Cure generated 112,000 new conversations on Dec. 8 when a new trailer was released.

Avengers: Infinity War managed to produce 48,000 new conversations on Dec. 4 after the Marvel-Disney studio released new story details.

Similarly, Universal’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom generated 46,000 new conversations on Dec. 3 after a new trailer was released during Thursday Night Football.

Fox’s The Greatest Showman saw 44,000 new conversations being generated after its world premiere on Dec. 2.

Star wars: The Last Jedi will release in theaters on December 15, 2017. The film’s star-cast includes Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Andy Serkis as Snoke, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Dohmnall Gleeson as General Hux, and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO. The film also stars and Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro.

Meanwhile, it looks like all the positive buzz is a good sign for Rian Johnson. It was earlier reported that the director will get to direct his own trilogy of Star Wars movie for Lucasfilm. By the looks of it, fans would loved to see Johnson back for more movies.
