With the release date of Lucasfilm’s sci-fi saga, Solo: A Star Wars Story inching closer, new details about the film’s plot and storyline have surfaced online. The first Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer introduced a brand new planet that Han Solo and Chewbacca will be seen exploring in the film. It looks like we may have discovered the name of that planet.
The official description of a Solo: A Star Wars Story book found on Amazon confirms that one of the new planets in the film is named Vandor. The book titled Solo: A Star Wars Story: Train Heist retells an action sequence from the upcoming film. Mimban, Corellia, and Kessel are the other three new planets that are set to appear in the film.
The book description reads as follows. “Han Solo and Chewbacca the Wookiee must team-up for a daring train heist on the planet Vandor!”
Recently, fans also got to know about the major threat that their beloved smuggler will face in Solo: A Star Wars Story. The film’s rumored villain is named Enfys Nest. He’ll be the leader of a swoop bike gang called the Cloud-Riders.
Enfys Nest’s official description from the toy packaging that surfaced on Reddit reads, “The Cloud-Rider gang led by Enfys Nest terrorizes the skies atop the mean-looking swoop bikes. Little more than engines with seats, swoops are hard to control but capable of incredible speed.”
In related news, the director duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller who exited from Solo: A Star Wars Story in mid-production last year, have revealed that they will be taking an executive producer credit on the Star Wars spinoff. Notably, after Lord and Miller left the project, it was handed over to Ron Howard.
“We were really proud of the many contributions we made to that film,” Miller told the audience at the third annual GLAS Animation Festival Friday in Berkeley, California. “In light of the creative differences, we elected to take an executive producer credit.”
Solo: A Star Wars Story will also introduce a new Han Solo theme by John Williams. The spinoff will hit theater screens on May 25.
