Star Wars fans’ wait got over when Disney and Lucasfilm dropped the first Solo: A Star Wars Story short teaser during this Super Bowl 2018 weekend. The full trailer was released exclusively on “Good Morning America” on Monday morning.
In addition, Lucasfilm has also rolled out four character posters for Solo: A Star Wars Story featuring four of the film’s main characters. The posters feature Alden Ehrenreich as Han, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra. All four of the characters have their own individual poster.
Each of the posters features the individual character within a colorful display of their name. The posters have a tan background and an image of the Millennium Falcon, the Solo: A Star Wars Story logo, and the May 25 release date at the bottom.
Taking a cue from the four Solo: A Star Wars Story posters, some Star Wars fans online came up with their own version of the poster showcasing some other characters from the Star Wars galaxy. While some of the posters feature characters that are likely to appear in the film, some others depicted the maker’s sheer sense of humor.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is Han Solo’s origin story, who is one of the most loved characters of the Star Wars universe. Harrison Ford played Han in the original trilogy, and in 2015’s The Force Awakens. In Solo: A Star Wars Story, Alden Ehrenreich is going to take over the role from Harrison Ford.
“Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes,” reads the official synopsis.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will hit theatres on May 25, 2018.
