The film’s first short trailer was rolled out during the Super Bowl 2018 weekend followed by a full trailer released exclusively on “Good Morning America.”

During an interview with ComicBook.com at the AARP Movies for Grownup Awards, when Johnson was asked about Solo: A Star Wars Story’s Super Bowl trailer debut, he said he is eagerly waiting to watch the film.

I knew it was coming, but I was still…” said Johnson. “I was clicking, clicking, clicking, ‘yeah, yeah!’ And I think it looks so beautiful. I can’t wait for people to see more of the film – it’s so fun, it’s so funny. The cast is so charismatic, and I think they all just did a great job with it.”

Lucas Film has reportedly roped in the Star Wars: The Last Jedi director to direct another trilogy of films separate from the Skywalker saga.

In related news, publisher Del Rey Books has come up with a new infographic that offers more specifics on Solo: A Star Wars Story’s timeframe. As per the infographic, the events of the film take place around 11-14 years before the events of the original Star Wars. More specifically, the movie takes place between the novels Star Wars: Tarkin and Star Wars: A New Dawn.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is the origin story of Han Solo who is one of the most loved characters of the Star Wars universe. Harrison Ford played Han in the original trilogy, and in 2015’s The Force Awakens. In Solo: A Star Wars Story, Alden Ehrenreich is going to take over the role from Harrison Ford.
