Star Wars fans are pretty excited for the soon-to-be-released space adventure movie Solo: A Star Wars Story as the Han Solo origin film will showcase how a young Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) turned into an acclaimed smuggler.
To ramp up the film’s marketing and promotion, Disney and Lucasfilm have released a new TV spot for the next Star Wars movie. The new Solo: A Star Wars Story TV spot shows off some of the notable characters including Han, Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), Lando Calrissian(Donald Glover), and not to forget his iconic ship, the Millennium Falcon. A lot of the new TV spot is focused on Han’s relationship with Chewbacca. The one-minute long trailer also features the first mention of the ship’s name. It is a mix of some old and new footage. You can check out the trailer below.
Fans might have noticed that the Millenium Falcon’s interior and exterior look a bit different from how it looked in the original trilogy. Lucasfilm Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo has confirmed that the ship that will be seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story is not a new one but a restored version of the old ship.
When a fan asked how Millennium Falcon looked more recognizable in Revenge of the Sith in its cameo appearance, Hidalgo replied, “The Falcon has always been old. Lando’s version best represents his tastes. Think of it as not only restored but also customized.”
Ehrenreich talked about the upcoming film in a recent interview with Kinowetter. He revealed that Solo: A Star Wars Story is a great adventure story.
“I think this movie is a great adventure story, and it’s a great adventure story that’s kind of a biopic in the way of a fictional character,” the actor said. “So you’re watching this story unfold and enjoying the high excitement of that. And then at the same time, there’s more of a focus on character and how he changes, I think, than you typically get in that kind of movie.”
In an earlier interview, Actor Donald Glover who plays as the Young Lando also revealed that the film has more fun than any other Star Wars movie.
Fans will get to see more of the Millennium Falcon ship in action when Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theatre screens on May 25th. The film is set to premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
