After a long wait, Disney and Lucasfilm have finally rolled out the first teaser of the upcoming Star Wars film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, during this Super Bowl 2018 weekend. This is the first time that a “Star Wars” trailer has been released during the big game and it has already been watched by millions of viewers.
The 45-second long teaser shows an Imperial ship with an officer asking a new unseen recruit what branch he’s interested in joining, to which he replies, “I’m going to be a pilot, the best in the galaxy.” There’s no doubt the unseen character is none other than a young Han Solo applying for work with an Imperial apparatchik. You can watch the teaser clip below.
The trailer also teases footage of a new-looking Millennium Falcon and shows quick shots of Chewbacca, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson as well as a brief glimpse of Alden Ehrenreich as the iconic space smuggler Han Solo. Boba Fett did not appear in the first trailer for the upcoming film. The full 2-minute trailer will debut exclusively on “Good Morning America” Monday morning.
Similarly, earlier last year in November, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War trailer was also debuted on GMA. Disney mostly makes its exclusive unveils via the same news company.
The film’s production was quite controversial as the original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller who started off together left within just three weeks of filming over creative differences. They were then replaced by Ron Howard who resumed filming through the fall.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is the origin story of Han Solo, who is one of the most loved characters of the Star Wars universe. The character was played by Harrison Ford in the original trilogy, and in 2015’s The Force Awakens. Alden Ehrenreich takes over the role from Harrison Ford in the upcoming film.
The official synopsis of Solo: A Star Wars Story reads as below-
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is scheduled to hit movie theatres on May 25, 2018.

Star Wars is continuing the tradition of casting beautiful women with Emilia Clarke. Everyone says oh, she's from Game of Thrones. But in 3 months, i can say "Emilia Clarke is from Star Wars!"
