Sony has finally offered a short trailer to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and shows, Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) reunite for the first time after the events of Spider-Man: Into the Verse. While fans have several reasons to be excited, one particular element has the Indian fandom thrilled after noticing Miles travel through an Indian setting world.
The trailer caught many Indian fans off guard when Miles finds himself in a different universe and falling into what could possibly be India rather than Brooklyn. The background score also has a desi touch indicating the same. But he’s soon pulled into another dimension while being confronted by Spider-Man 2099. Readers can spot a Hindi and Tamil text reference on a billboard at 1:53.
Fans are already wondering if Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will head to India. Some are also hoping the film could introduce an Indian version of Spidey. Readers can check out some of the reactions below.

The use of different languages was a great touch! Adds a great sense of place to the universes.

New spiderverse looks sick!!! In one part of the trailer, it seems like Miles is in India, I can see Hindi signs.
But what's even cooler is even the comic SFX lines are in Hindi and even Tamil (and maybe more?) in this part!!!!

Some interesting tidbits from the Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse teaser:
– We see Earth 928, the home of Miguel OHara (Spider-Man 2099)
-Miles is seen in Mumbattan, likely a reveal of Earth 50101, the home of Pavitr Prabhakar (Spider-Man India)#SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse pic.twitter.com/LOc3nOwE1s— Ryan Anderson is @LACC! (@Ryans_Ramblings) December 5, 2021

The 2:29 minute teaser was unveiled earlier on Saturday at the CCXP Worlds 2021 along with Sony confirming the sequel has been divided into two films. So the forthcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be part 1.
Going by reactions, it seems like Marvel fans are convinced the animated sequel will live up to the 2018 blockbuster produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, which also earned itself an Oscar for Best animated feature. The duos are returning again for the second installment with Joaquim Dos Santos and Kemp Powers taking on helming duties.
Sony Pictures Animation has also provided an official plot description for the sequel stating: “Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.”
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse arrives in theatres on October 7, 2022. Volume 2 will land sometime in 2023.
