While Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home is still filming, the movie’s first teaser poster got unveiled at the Brand Licensing Europe 2018 event in London. The poster in question appears to be an image taken from Spider-Man: Homecoming featuring Tom Holland’s wall-crawler posing alongside the new film’s logo. It teases the film’s summer 2019 release date.
Well, the use of an old picture makes sense for now as the sequel is currently in the early production phase. Furthermore, Holland has already confirmed that he will be wearing the same suit from Homecoming in the new installment. So, this could be the reason that the picture from the previous film is put on display at the Brand Licensing Europe event. You can check out the Spider-Man: Far From Home promotional poster below.
Some recent set pictures have confirmed that Spider-Man will be donning a new stealthy black suit in the upcoming film. The new suit has body armor and glowing goggles, possibly for night vision. There’s also a faint logo on the top right chest portion which looks similar to the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo. It is expected that the stealth suit is inspired by Spider-Man Noir, but how exactly the web-slinger gets the black suit in Far From Home remains to be seen.
In related news, Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino will reportedly be returning back to score Spider-Man: Far From Home. Giacchino’s previous works include Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Incredibles, The Incredibles 2, Sky High, Cars 2 etc.
Directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland as the titular superhero, Zendaya as Michelle, Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, Michael Keaton as Vulture, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Hemky Madera, Tony Revolori alongside newcomers Numan Acar and J.B. Smoove.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to debut in theatres on July 5, 2019.
