Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Trailer- Fans On Spider-Gwen’s Debut

The first Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is finally out offering fans a glimpse of what they can expect from Sony’s upcoming animated Marvel movie. The new trailer mainly focuses on a teenager who lives in Brooklyn, Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore and an aging Peter Parker voiced by Jake Johnson. It shows how Parker mentors Morales to become the next Spider-Man.

In the clip, Morales bumps into Spider-Man while in battle and this is when he learns that he’s just like the web crawler and that he possesses powers similar to him.

Fans also got to see Miles’ parents, Jefferson (Brain Tyree Henry) and Rio (Luna Lauren Velez) in the Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse trailer. The cop father loves to drop his son to school in a Police car and leaves him embarrassed by asking to say, ‘I love you too, Dad’ in front of other students in school.

Interestingly, the new Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse trailer also teased the presence of Gwen Stacy aka Spider-Gwen in the upcoming film. The character was created by Jason Latour and Robbie Rodriguez back in September 2014. Hailing from Earth 65, Spider-Gwen made her debut in Edge of Spider-Verse. She gets the superpowers after being bitten by a radioactive spider.

Fans can see Gwen in her Spider-Gwen guise in the end of the trailer along with Miles Morales and Peter Parker. The Spider-Woman’s character will be voiced by Bumblebee star Hailee Steinfeld. Notably, the trailer didn’t offer any clue as to how Spider-Gwen will fit into the story. But the mere glimpse of Spider-Gwen in the trailer has got fans excited. They immediately took to Twitter to show their excitement.

You can check out fans reaction to Spider-Gwen’s appearance in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse trailer in the tweets below.

Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman,  Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will debut in theatres on December 14, 2018.
