Spider-Man: No Way Home – Andrew Garfield’s Spidey spotted in new website promo

A promo website featuring Andrew Garfield’s friendly neighborhood spidey, as part of Spider-Man: No Way Home has MCU fans puzzled if this could be the indication they waited for. The upcoming threequel is barely over two months away from its official release and will explore the aftermath of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) unveiling Peter Parker’s identity as the web-slinging hero. However, as the first trailer hinted, the film will also introduce the multiverse narrative into Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected to dive into mystics/supernatural elements with the involvement of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). Although Marvel-Sony has kept the plotline in wraps, fans are expecting to see past versions of Spider-Man show up in the much-anticipated threequel as well.

Rumors continue to support theories that Tobey Maguire and Garfield are appearing in the upcoming blockbuster. A set video clip of Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man only added more dissent over is or isn’t the star’s version of spidey involved in the film.

Now, a new promotional website for Spider-Man: No Way Home is staking up these rumors. The Skittles brand’s Russian website has included the threequel film as part of their marketing push. But instead of showcasing Tom Holland’s spidey, it’s Garfield’s web-slinging hero on the billboard. You can check out the image below.

It’s unsure if Skittles included Garfield’s Spider-Man promo materials on purpose or was an error on their part. However, it’s unlikely that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures would include such a massive reveal via a random marketing material after remaining tight-lipped on rumors for so long. However, given all indications since the project’s production – it cannot be denied that Marvel may have a surprise in store in the early closing weeks of its release.

It remains to be seen if Marvel Studios and Sony could reveal a few details in the second trailer or may decide to let fans in on the big reveal while watching the threequel in theatres. Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theatres on December 17, 2021.
