Spider-Man: No Way Home – Benedict Cumberbatch runs from security to greet fans at LA world premiere, asks not to “Killjoy” with spoilers

The Los Angeles world premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home kicked off to a good start thanks to cast members like Benedict Cumberbatch’s jovial presence on the red carpet. The Doctor Strange star was especially cheerful after coming across a wave of Marvel fans waiting for their favorite MCU actors.

A video of Benedict from the Spider-Man: No Way Home red carpet is making the rounds among Doctor Strange fans. As shown in the clip, The Sherlock star runs away from his security personnel as fans scream in excitement. Readers can check out the video below.

In fairness, Benedict ran to greet his fans at the railings, and Tom Holland also walked in the same lane on his arrival at Regency Village Theatre. But the huge reception from Marvel fans has security beefed up for the safety of the stars. Nonetheless, that didn’t stop Ben from making a run.

The 45-year-old actor also addressed the fans through a video asking them not to “killjoy” by spoiling the movie for others. The star added he is yet to see the movie like a few other Spider-Man: No Way Home casts.

The involvement of Doctor Strange in the Sony Pictures’ produced Spider-Man: No Way Home falls in line with the deal the studio has ongoing with Marvel Studios. It’s a crossover of IPs owned by both studios to benefit their respective feature films. Cumberbatch will next be seen in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness with Spider-Man as well as Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) appearing alongside in the multiverse action.

Spider-Man: No Way Home wraps up the trilogy set out in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, a franchise helmed by director Jon Watts. Though it’s currently unclear what the future holds for Holland’s Spider-Man, the character is assured to make another appearance in MCU. Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are yet to work out their next deal which could potentially span out the next trilogy of Spider-Man films. But at the moment, nothing is certain.

So fans can hope to learn more when Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives on December 17 in theatres.
