50,000 tickets sold for Spider-Man: No Way Home during advance booking, a report reveals
Fan shows are common in India for titles released by Bollywood, Kollywood and other regional cinema industries. Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame was the first of its kind where theatre chains held morning shows at 5 AM. However, it can be argued the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home may have just topped the earlier set record.
Early predictions estimate Spider-Man: No Way Home to hit the $200 million mark from the opening weekend earnings. Though the numbers are massive for a film releasing amid the pandemic era, it could rake those digits going by the Marvel film’s pre-sales projection in India and UK, where the movie releases early. Last week, advance ticket sales for the threequel in the UK broke the previous record set by 2019’s Endgame. Meanwhile in India, A report from the folks at Pinkvilla also states that over 50,000 tickets were sold in three hours at PVR.
Spider-Man: No Way Home releases in theaters on December 16.
