Andrew Garfield is in Spider-Man: No Way Home! While that may sound like old news to the MCU fans, it was indeed a long-kept secret in Hollywood to keep spoilers at bay for the threequel Marvel film from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. But now with the cat out of the bag, more details regarding Garfield’s involvement in the Tom Holland starring Spider-Man film are rolling out.
Scenes featuring The Amazing Spider-Man were a turning point in No Way Home’s climax. Though, the quick action sequences with the heroes fighting not one, or two but 4 supervillains ( Green Goblin, Sandman Lizard, Electro) made it harder for viewers to catch a good closer look at Garfield’s costume.
Fortunately, the stand-in actor for the Tick Tick Boom star was also able to wear the Amazing Spider-Man suit and captured a few close-ups for fans to drool over. Readers can check it out below.

For context, actor Omar Zaki was not a stunt double but as mentioned above, he was a stand-in for Garfield, chosen to film simple pick-up scenes during minor reshoots for Spider-Man: No Way Home. In fact, Garfield as well as his stunt double William Spencer were both unavailable during reshoots.
Before eagle-eyed fans are quick to run through No Way Home to spot scenes featuring the stand-in. Zaki has clarified his sequences filmed alongside Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Doctor Strange, Holland and Toby Maguire did not make it to the final cut and was framed out of one shot to prioritize a dialogue exchange between Strange and Spidey.
Unlike the version shown in No Way Home, the stand-in’s suit isn’t CGI enhanced and offers an in-depth look at the prop in its original form. It would be a delight to see Garfield back in the costume if Sony decides to greenlight The Amazing Spider-Man 3. The star has already shown interest to reprise the role if “it felt right”.
