Not just the multiverse Spider-People but even the live-action Venom universe has a crossover with Spider-Verse 2‘s villain. A new TV spot has revealed a scene from the Tom Hardy starrer flick showing Peggy Lu’s Chen meeting the Spot. The actress reprised the store owner role in Venom let there be carnage.

The PG-rated Spider-Verse 2 is just a week away from the LA red carpet premiere so fans better be prepared to brace for spoilers. In addition, fan preview screenings are also taking place in several locations such as central London. Though Across the Spider-Verse promos are arguably giving away much of the exciting action set pieces – such as Spider-Man 2099’s face-off with the Vulture.

Starting off with the Chen appearance, the scene shown in the TV Spot is the same sequence from Venom Let There Be Carnage. But the sequence is edited to show The Spot in the place of Michelle Williams‘ Anne Weying. It’s unclear if the sequence in the theatrical cut would showcase the same footage.

The Venom crossover Spider-Verse 2 teaser was shared for the Vietnamese international promo. Earlier, Sony released an extended clip of Spider-Man 2099 fighting the Vulture though things don’t go as planned after the Renaissance-inspired villain blasts off a helicopter. Luckily, Gwen Stacy stops the chopper from crashing down while Miguel O’Hara rescues the pilots. Jessica Drew also jumps in to aid Gwen but the scene abruptly ends.

New shots of Pavitr Prabhakar’s Indian Spider-Man have surfaced online as well. The Mumbattan’s Spidey appears to be saving people from building destruction while Miles swoops in to aid him. But the best clip reveal goes to 0:51 video of Miles Morales being chased by the multiverse defending Spider-People.

The long sequence shows several never-before-seen web crawlers such as a hijab-donning Spider-Woman, a civilian clothed spidey and more. Every web-crawling superhero in the vicinity including Spider-Rex bombards Miles.

Aside from every comic, live-action and game adaptation of Spider-Man making its way onto Spider-Verse 2 – it’s confirmed that the Lego universe appearing in the upcoming sequel is based on the 2014;s Lego Marvel superhero comic. There clearly seems to be no stop to the barrage of spoilery reveals from Sony Pictures.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will release in theaters on June 2, 2023.
