Stan Lee To Be Honored As Disney Legend At D23 Expo, Award Details

Marvel’s Stan Lee paved the way for American comics and is one of the personalities responsible for leading the industry into modern cinema. While fans throughout the world look up to him as a legend, it was finally time for the comic-book writer to be awarded and praised for his achievements.

Marvel has announced that Stan Lee will be honored as a Disney Legend for his “remarkable creative achievements” this year at D23 Expo. The former president of Marvel Comics will receive the award along with other honorees like Mark Hamill, late Carrie Fisher and a few others.

The Expo will take place in Anaheim, California and is hosted by Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger. Fans can watch Stan Lee receive the Disney Legend award at the expo at 10 AM on Friday, July 14th in Hall D23. Fans can find more information regarding the award ceremony at D23.com.

Over his lifetime of achievements, Stan Lee is best known for co-creating several Marvel characters such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and The X-Men. In past years, the comic-book writer has also made cameo appearances in every Marvel films.

Earlier this year, it was also revealed that Stan Lee had already filmed his next four Marvel cameos. Recently, fans got to see one of his appearances from a TV spot released for Spider-Man: Homecoming. The comic-book writer has also helped in promoting the film along with star Tom Holland and Zendaya.

Currently, fans are expecting to see more of his cameos in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok both slated to release this year. Later, fans can watch his appearance in Avengers: Infinity War as well.
