The first TV spot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released November 1 during Game 7 of the World Series. The new teaser trailer included a small new footage that includes Skywalker returning to the Millennium Falcon.
With the Star Wars: The Last Jedi all set to release next month, speculations are on the rise and fans have begun to dissect and bisect each and every promotional material that have been released. Disney/Lucasfilm have released a new teaser trailer, and fans have a lot to take from it. The 45-second TV spot opens with a cloaked Luke Skywalker stepping back into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. It does feature a few unseen footages.
Most of the remaining part of the TV spot shows scenes that we have already watched before featuring a lot of space combat with TIE Fighters and the Falcon.
The first words in the spot is “Let the past die.” The last part of the trailer is the most chilling. “This is not going to go the way you think,” Luke Skywalker says while on the ground. Then suddenly the spot shifts to a grim-faced Rey, raising her lightsaber, most probably symbolizing triumph over the Jedi Master.
Previously, a few behind the scenes (BTS) video of Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released, revealing fresh footage from all that transpired behind the screen during the making of the film. The footage also included a picture of Luke Skywalker standing by his Jedi history library.
