Stranger Things Season 3 BTS Photo Gives First Look At Chief Hopper

Stranger Things Season 3 will not air before 2019. However, fans are assured that things are already moving forward. The filming of the third installment began last week and photos from the sets are already out.

The newest picture from the set featuring fan-favorite David Harbour’s Chief Hopper in his uniform is floating on the internet. An Instagram account HawkinsAvClub posted the aforementioned photo giving fans just what they need to keep going during the long hiatus. Scroll down to view the photo.

More photos as published on Just Jared teases the cast members in their roles. According to the publication, the crew and cast of Stranger Things Season 3 are filming in Canton, Georgia this week. The photos give a glimpse at Natalia Dyer, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour’s character. All three cast members were spotted filming a scene at a downtown shopping center area of Hawkins.

Last week, Stranger Things official Twitter account made the big announcement about the beginning of the filming with a short video featuring new and old cast members. “Back at it, nerds,” read the caption of the video.

While, Ryder, Dyer, Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery will reprise their respective roles, we have Carly Elwes joining the show as Mayor Kline, who is described as “classic ‘80s politician.” Along with Elwes, Jake Busey will be joining as a journalist for The Hawkins Post, Bruce.

According to the showrunners, Stranger Things Season 3 will deal with new evils but rest assure the big bad from last season will be back.

We’re going to give Will a break,” Showrunner Shawn Levy told Glamour. “We’re not going to put Will through hell for the third season in a row. He’ll be dealing with stuff, but he won’t be at rock bottom the way we forced the amazing Noah Schnapp to play. We’re [going to be] dealing with forces of evil that are new.”
