Usually, movie stars promote their upcoming films rather than disappoint the masses with negativity. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for Justice League thanks to Diane Lane.
UPDATE: Thanks to Comicbook, we have clarification from Lane’s representative and it has cleared the air that her answer on the show was misrepresented.
Recently, the actress was invited to be on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. During her talk, Lane was asked some Qs from her caller fans.
One fan popped up with two important questions connected to Justice League. Lane was asked if she could share spoilers from the DC film and whether it was better than The Avengers? Unfortunately, her reply has left many fans devastated.
“No and no”, replied Lane. “Short, but honest. I hate to disappoint,” she said. On a lighter note, in the next question Lane confessed that it is “occasionally” weird sometimes play as Henry Cavill’s mom because he is so hot. Fans can check it out in the video below at 1:41.
While this generates a negative buzz for Justice League– Lane’s reply is, in fact, the harsh truth that some fans have failed to digest. The upcoming DC Film might manage to appeal to the critics as well as the masses. However, currently, it is unsure if Justice League could dominate The Avengers.
Diane Lane plays as Martha Kent, The Superman’s mother in Justice League. The actress made her first appearance as the supporting character in Man of Steel. She also reprised the role in last year’s Batman v Superman directed by Zack Snyder.
Justice League releases on November 17th this year. Currently, fans are hyped to watch Wonder Woman which hits theaters on June 2nd.
