Terminator 6 will completely ignore the events of Terminator 3, Salvation and Genisys, as it serve as a direct sequel to Terminator 2. The film’s story will focus on the character of Dani Ramos, a young working Mexican woman who finds herself caught up in the war between man and machine. The film will pave way for a new reboot trilogy by producer James Cameron.

Terminator 1 & 2 lead pair of Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger return to the franchise for the first time in 27 years, with Hamilton playing an older version of her iconic character Sarah Connor. The film also stars Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, and Diego Boneta. James Cameron returns to the franchise as a producer and conceived the story with Miller and David Ellison.

Terminator 6 was originally slated to release next July, but it was pushed back to November 15, 2019, after Schwarzenegger underwent emergency heart surgery. Paramount Pictures has again moved the film’s release date to November 1, 2019, from previously set November 15, 2019.
