Thor 4 has many fans hyped for the two powerhouse women namely Tessa Thompson‘s Valkyrie, touted as the new King of Asgard and Natalie Portman‘s Jane Foster taking up the mantle of Goddess of Thunder. Yet the Men in Black actress has been making more news lately after comments regarding her Thor: Love and Thunder role caused a storm on social media.
Earlier this month, Thompson’s statement regarding Valkyrie’s powers in Thor 4, was misconstrued, or at least as claimed by the star in her recent Instagram stories. Thompson clarified that she mentioned the Asgardian warrior’s powers in general as portrayed in Marvel comics.
“In talking about Valkyrie to W Magazine, I was talking generally about powers that are canon and that I loved in reading the comics and not about Thor: Love and Thunder,” Thompson wrote. “I shant be a home for spoilers.” Check out the image below.

To provide some context, The actress was interviewed by W magazine sometime last week where she spoke in detail regarding Valkyrie’s skills:
She has weird skills, to be honest. She can sense when someone is close to death, and she takes them into Valhalla, which is essentially the afterlife,” she told the magazine. “She can revive people. But when she revives people, sometimes she ends up in their body. It’s a weird thing. It can be quite erotic. And then she has superhuman strength and is essentially God.”
A new costume worn by Valkyrie in Thor 4 went viral after some elements in the attire resembled Thor’s costume. In fact, many are under the presumption it’s another nod to Valkyrie’s role as Asgards’ king. But a new threat arises in the upcoming fourth installment from Christian Bale’s Gorr the God butcher. So the God of Thunder (Christ Hemsworth) could use a little “revival” help from Valkyrie’s comic skillset. Here’s hoping!
