This is cinema! The Batman is turning out to be deserving of that praise as cinephiles around the world flock theatres to experience Matt Reeves’ noir-driven DC flick. In fact, box office predictions have turned out in Warner Bros. favor with an estimated $110M earning, the biggest opening for the studio in 2022. Yet another section of fans are still holding on to the Snyderverse hopes, paying tribute & campaigning for Zack Snyder’s return during a fan premiere for the new blockbuster.
The Batman has already received its vote of approval from devote DC fans in the last three days of its screening. On the critic’s side, Robert Pattinson’s grim new take on the Dark Knight won an 85% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes and 91% audience rating, as of this writing. Added, the movie received an A- grade at CinemaScore’s last night’s poll. It shouldn’t come as a surprise the three-hour-long feature falls second after Spider-Man: No Way Home as the best performing film during the pandemic era, as Deadline reports.
While Reeves’ success with the new take has received its support for a potential new DC Universe, support for Restore of the Snyderverse remains lingering among the DCEU community. Some fans in Chennai, India have even gone to the lengths of holding a Snyderverse banner before the fan premiere of The Batman. And if that wasn’t enough, a fan tribute trailer for Snyder was showcased in Rajinikanth-Esque style before the film’s screening.
From the looks of it, the initiative has been taken in good spirit as the group also praise Reeves’ caped crusader. Another section of the fan community called DC Kerala organized a celebration of sorts before the first show screening. Warner Bros. has also shared their celebratory efforts on Instagram stories.

Snyderverse fans have recently been hopeful for Henry Cavill’s return for a Man of Steel sequel, especially since a Superman double with the actor’s traits was featured as a cameo in the Peacemaker finale. Although there’s no news for Snyder fans – Reevesverse is already on the verge of expanding with spinoffs based on its Rogue gallery & more. The future remains bright for DC’s live-action world.
